More or less time in Pondicherry?

Questions people ask

Is 3 days too long for Pondicherry?

Not if you like slow days. The three cab days are short, so the afternoons and evenings are free for White Town cafes, the Promenade and the beaches.

Which order should the three days go in?

Keep day one off a Monday, when the Puducherry Museum and the Bharathiyar museum close. Days two and three work on any day.

Can I add Chidambaram or Mahabalipuram instead?

Yes, as a long day of its own. Chidambaram's Nataraja temple is about 66 km south, and with the Pichavaram mangroves the day is about 160 km. Mahabalipuram is about 95 km north, on the way to Chennai.
