More or less time in Kochi?

Questions people ask

Is 2 days enough for Kochi?

Yes, for the main sights: Mattancherry, Jew Town, Fort Kochi, the Hill Palace Museum, the Folklore Museum and Marine Drive. Add a half day for Cherai Beach, about 29 km north of Ernakulam by road.

Should I stay in Fort Kochi or Ernakulam?

Either works. These plans start at Ernakulam Junction station, about 13 km from Fort Kochi. Staying in Fort Kochi puts the Kathakali show and the beach in the evening within walking distance.

Which days should I pick for the two days?

Keep the Fort Kochi day off Fridays and Saturdays, when the synagogue is closed, and the Hill Palace day off Mondays. The two days can go in either order: on a Sunday and Monday, do the Hill Palace on Sunday and Fort Kochi on Monday.
