How many days do you need for Jaipur sightseeing?
Two days covers the main sights: one for Amer and the hill forts, one for the old city. A third day adds Galta Ji, Birla Mandir and the gardens.
What should I see first in Jaipur?
Start with Amber Fort at opening time, at 08:00. It is the biggest sight, and it gets crowded and hot by late morning.
Can I see Jaipur in one day by cab?
Yes, if you keep it to the highlights: Amber Fort in the morning, then City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal in the afternoon. That is about 7 to 8 hours with the drive.
Which Jaipur sights are temples?
The main ones are Govind Dev Ji in the City Palace gardens, Birla Mandir and Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple side by side, and Galta Ji in the hills to the east.
Is a full-day cab enough for Jaipur local sightseeing?
Usually yes. Jaipur's sights sit within about 15 km of each other, so a full-day local cab with a set hours and kilometre limit covers a day plan here comfortably. Check the limit with the operator before you book.
What are the Amber Fort timings?
Amber Fort is open every day from 08:00 to 17:30 for the day visit. Go at opening time. The light and sound show runs in the evening with a separate ticket.
