Through Erumely and Kattappana
~288 km · about 8 h · via Adoor, Pathanamthitta, Erumely & Kattappana
About 5 km shorter, but most of it is narrow, winding hill road through the Idukki hills, so it is no faster. It's the way to go if you stop in Thekkady first.
